Luini is a must try but be ready to wait!!!
This place is so delicious! They have different bake/fried stuffed pastries. You can get savory or sweet and you won't go wrong with either.
We bought various flavors and it was hard to pick a favorite one.
For savory, we had:
* Ricotta and Spinach (my favorite)
*Tomato and Mozzarella (taste like pizza)
*Ham and Cheese (classic)
*Hot salami and Mozzarella ( husband's favorite)
For sweet, we had:
*Plums, apples and walnuts
* Pear and Chocolate ( my favorite, perfect combo)
*Figs, walnuts and cocoa
This place is super close to the Duomo. If you are in the area, give it a try. -

In a high tourist area, it is hard to find a reasonably priced meal that still gives you a feel for the cultural cuisine. Luini is located just around the bend from the Duomo and delivers all of the above. Do not be turned away by the line up because they are very efficient and the line moves very quickly.
We ordered one savory and one sweet to share and it was the perfect afternoon snack for two people. I would suggest ordering a couple more if you would like a full meal. The pastry on both were flaky and light, so it was not greasy or too heavy.
Also, do not get too set on which flavor you would like because they maybe sold out or not making that particular one that day! Still worth a try for a quick and economical meal. -

Famous and there's a long line but it goes very quickly! Fried or baked calzone type things, I had never heard of them before but I thoroughly enjoyed them. Super fresh, like literally made and then immediately sold

A perfect quick lunch if you're looking to eat while you walk. The savory ones were definitely better than the sweet ones, and the focaccias were light and perfect for sharing. I'd say two or three of them is the right amount to hold a person over till dinner. There was a super long line when we got there but it moves quite fast, just be ready to order when you get to the counter.

Best hot ham and cheese pastry I ever had!
Crispy outside and cheese melted well balanced with ham inside . nice and simple!
You have to try this if you are in rev area!
